Nine Healing Circles

Long held as a secret by the Li family, now you can learn Jiulong Baguazhang's standing and circle walking health exercises and reap the benefits with merely 30 – 60 minutes of daily investment in yourself.  This method works through stimulation of your body's own natural internal systems while practicing a type of walking visualization and meditation exercise.  Baguazhang practitioners are known to be among the longest lived and healthiest people on earth. 

 

Nine Healing Circles Qigong was created to stimulate the entire body, internal organs, nervous system, lymphatic system, cardiovascular system, and Qi meridian system through physical and mental actions while walking in a circle holding specific palm postures.  Great health and longevity can be achieved through this practice.

 

In this 11-week course, Dr. Yancy Orchard will share his knowledge of Nine Healing Circles Qigong.  This advanced qigong course will cover Quiet Sitting, Zhan Zhuang (Standing), and Circle Walking with Eight Palms correspondences, visualizations, and movements.  At the end of the course, students will have learned a systematic, daily practice for optimizing their health.  Ideal as a wellness practice.

Fundamental Principles of Flying Dragon Qigong

 

At Orchard Kung Fu, the core of our health and vitality arts curriculum revolves around the art of Flying Dragon Qigong.  

 

Devised by Li, Ching Yuen in the 1800’s, preserved by the Li family and brought into the light of science by Dr. John Painter, Flying Dragon Qigong is an internal cleansing therapy that allows you to simultaneously rarefy your spirit, refine your mind and purify your body.
